A Three-Part Video Series with Explore Asheville
When a place as special as Asheville faces adversity, one thing is certain, this community comes together. After Hurricane Helene left its mark on the region, but the heart of Asheville never wavered. Small businesses reopened, local makers got back to work, and the mountains stood strong as ever.
At Mountainwater Films, we believe that storytelling has the power to capture moments of resilience and renewal in a way that inspires, connects, and moves people to action. We partnered with Explore Asheville to create a three-part video series documenting Asheville’s comeback, told by the unique perspectives of Jessie Dean of Asheville Tea Company, Dexter Hazel (general manager of the Moxy Hotel), and Chase Pickering of Biltmore.
Part I: Helene
Part II: Recovery
Part III: Revival
The videos aired nationally on the Tennis Channel during the live broadcast of Stars Servin' Up Love, a celebrity tennis fundraiser event on February 2, 2025. Want to help contribute to the rebuilding efforts of Asheville? Donate to the Always Asheville Fund.
